Celebrating 20 Years

The time is now, during our 20th anniversary year, to reach beyond and challenge ourselves to address the critical needs of grieving families.

Goal: $500,000
Current: $488,316

Healing Hearts Now & Always

This campaign allows donors to leave a true legacy, by ensuring that grieving children in our community have access to life changing support, establishing Brooke’s Place as the community leader in childhood grief and most importantly, investing in the future of our community.

The Need

With an estimated 73,000 children expected to experience the death of a loved one in Central Indiana before the age of 20, there will always be an ongoing need in our community for the programs provided at Brooke’s Place. Unresolved grief is a continued issue within our community and nation. The need for us to expand access to our programs is greater than ever.

The Future

As Brooke’s Place takes this opportunity to celebrate its invaluable work of providing grieving families with support over the past twenty years, we are also looking towards the future, to the next twenty years and beyond. We want to ensure the ongoing sustainability of Brooke’s Place with the ability to grow and expand our programs so that, one day, EVERY grieving child in our community can have access to grief support services. With demonstrated proven successful outcomes across all of our programs.

New ongoing grief support group program locations in communities not currently served

Expanded access to our therapy services program in new community-based locations

Expansion of Camp Healing Tree, a weekend long children's grief camp, to multiple weekends

Increased access to our BP8 outreach grief support group programs in new communities

Ability to recruit and train more volunteers

Support Brooke's Place

"Brooke's Place is more than just a place where you go to discuss grief. Having gone to Brooke's Place for four years up until college, I know it helped me grow as a person, a student, a family member, and a friend. I formed bonds that will last a lifetime, had fun, and truly had a safe place where I could discuss everything and anything-grief related or not." Nick, former BP teen, now young adult in college
