Duane joined Brooke’s Place in 2022 as a contract therapist. He completed his counseling psychology master’s degree in 1995 from Ball State University and has his undergraduate degree from Purdue University. Duane is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and a licensed clinical addiction counselor (LCAC). His background includes advanced training in child-centered play therapy at the University of North Texas and in early childhood mental health at Riley Hospital for Children. He has extensive experience working with children and families to heal from loss, tragedy and grief along with complications in life from relationship problems, mental health issues and substance use disorders.  When at home, Duane enjoys reading, gardening, hiking nature trails, traveling with his wife, and spending time with friends, family and grandkids.
