Become a Compassionate Grief Support Facilitator at Brooke's Place

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of children, teens, young adults, and their families who have experienced the death of a loved one? We're seeking caring, supportive individuals to become volunteer grief support group facilitators who can provide a brave space for young people ages 3-29 and their caregivers to express the big and small emotions accompanying grief.
Training Dates & Times
Wednesday, January 22 | 5:00pm to 9:00 pm
Thursday, January 30 | 5:00pm to 9:00 pm
Saturday, February 1 | 8:00am to 4:30pm
As a Brooke's Place Facilitator, you'll:
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where individuals can express their feelings freely
• Listen with empathy and validate each person's unique grief journey
• Support children and families during their most vulnerable moments
• Help make a meaningful impact in your community
No prior counseling experience? No problem! Our comprehensive training will equip you with everything you need to become an extraordinary grief support facilitator.
What We're Looking For:
• Individuals 16 years and older with a big heart and open mind
• People who love working with children and want to give back
• Active listeners who can create a supportive, dynamic group environment
• Committed volunteers ready to make a difference
Volunteer Commitment:
• Complete our facilitator training workshop
• Participate in pre and post-training interviews
• Commit to a one-year journey with Brooke's Place
• Pass a background check
Previous bereavement experience? Not required. What matters most is your genuine compassion, willingness to learn, and desire to support grieving children and families. Join us in creating a community of healing and hope!
